Annual Oxford Dolls’ Tea Party

Denver’s beloved holiday tradition continues…
Enjoy a ballet performance and festive tea with your child and his or her favorite doll.
The Oxford Dolls’ Tea Party is a traditional tea (with cocoa for the children) which includes a light snack of tea sandwiches and assorted treats. The festive party is set in the beautifully decorated Oxford Hotel. The highlight of the tea party is a whimsical ballet performance designed especially for the children. The children have an opportunity to meet the ballerinas at the end of the party, and a professional photographer will be on hand to capture all of the special memories.
The Holiday Dolls’ Tea Party was founded by Frances Melrose of The Rocky Mountain News, who suggested the event as a replacement for the Denver Dry goods tradition of her childhood. For over 50 years, Denver’s premier department store hosted a formal tea for children and their dolls. Since 1991, The Oxford Hotel has carried on the tradition.
