General Information
How is The Oxford Hotel ensuring safety during COVID-19?
Your safety is our top priority at The Oxford Hotel. Please note several health and safety standards have been put in place to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible! We will frequently be updating our policies and standards here.
How many rooms are at The Oxford Hotel?
The Oxford has 80 unique, classic rooms and is located in the heart of downtown Denver.
When is check-in and check-out?
Check-in time is after 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am.
What do I need to check-in?
All guests checking-in will need a credit card and a valid form of ID.
Where do I check-in?
You can check-in at the front desk of The Oxford Hotel located at 1600 17th Street, Denver, CO 80202.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be received by 4:00pm MST 2 days (48 hours) prior to your arrival to avoid the fee of one night’s room and tax.
I need to make changes to my reservation. Who should I contact?
If you made your reservation through a third party (Expedia, Hotel Tonight, etc.) you will need to contact the booking agent/website that you went through in order to make any changes. If you booked through The Oxford Hotel's website or made your reservation by calling the hotel, please contact a reservation’s agent at 800.228.5838.
Do you provide ADA-compliant accommodations?
Yes, we do have ADA accommodations. To reserve an ADA compliant room, please email reservations@theoxfordhotel.com or call 800.228.5838 to book direct.
Does the hotel allow smoking?
The Oxford Hotel is a 100% non-smoking hotel. A $500 fee will be applied if smoking is detected.
Are pets allowed at the hotel?
Yes! The Oxford Hotel would love to welcome your dog. There is a one-time $50 pet clean-up fee. Unfortunately your other furry friends will have to stay home, as we currently only allow dogs up to 60 pounds. These restrictions do not apply to service animals.

I’m coming from Denver International Airport, what is the best way to get to the hotel?
We are located only a block away from Denver Union Station, which has a direct light-rail line to the airport. Guests can take the University of Colorado A Line to and from Denver International Airport. If you are driving you can find directions here. Taxis, Uber and Lyft are also reliable modes of transportation to the hotel.

Is parking available at the hotel?
We provide valet parking at the front entrance of The Oxford Hotel. Overnight parking is $53 per vehicle.
Do you have a house car?
The Oxford Hotel is happy to offer guests a ride within two miles of the hotel in our courtesy Tesla.

What is there to do in the area?

Is The Oxford a historic hotel?
Yes, the Oxford is actually Denver’s most historic hotel! Built in 1891, The Oxford has seen Denver change from a sleepy cow town to the major metropolitan area that it is today. If you’re interested in learning more about our history please visit our History page.
Is The Oxford environmentally conscious?
Yes, both The Oxford Hotel and Urban Farmer actively strive to be environmentally conscious. For every 2+ night stay at The Oxford Hotel, guests have the option to decline housekeeping services to join our efforts in saving water, energy, and other resources. As a thank you, The Oxford will apply a $5 food and beverage credit per day to be used at Urban Farmer or The Cruise Room during the stay.
To indicate participation in this program, guests simply place our eco door hanger outside of their room during their stay.

Does The Oxford Hotel Offer Room Service?
Yes, we offer daily room service provided by Urban Farmer from 2 pm - 8 pm. Review their menu here.
What is a Destination Amenity Fee?
The Destination Amenity Fee is $30+ tax and provides guests with several special discounts, exclusive offers, and promotions around Denver and inside the hotel.
